JANUARY: New Years Day. Procession of the Three Kings.

FEBRUARY: Carnivals, Festivals and Processions.

MARCH: Hotel and Business Gastronomical Festival and Presentation of the May Fair.

APRIL: Easter processions.
Parades take place each evening during Easter week with processions through the town of floats and bands together with exquisite costumes. These spectacular events start in the evening and finish around midnight.

MAY: May fair. One of the most important Andalucian festivals on the Mediterranean.
Torrevieja has the festival of Sevillanas held In May.
During the May fair, Torrevieja enjoys a week of festivities in the most genuine Andalucian fashion. "Casetas" (booths) are set up in the harbour precincts, and a large gathering of people in traditional Andalucian costume dance the famous "Sevillanas." The atmosphere is completed by processions on horseback and carriages plus the tasting of fine Andalucian wines. On the last Saturday and Sunday of May, the Association of the Virgin del Rocío organizes a "Romería" (Pilgrimage) in honour of the Virgin del Rocío. In addition, a pilgrims' mass is held in the open air. The renowned "race of the ribbons" for horsemen is celebrated as well.
During the first fortnight of May, the Queen of the Fire is proclaimed, and between the months of May and June is the Coronation of the Queen of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

JUNE: San Juan bonfires, the Sacred Heart festivities.

JULY: Seafarer's festivals of the Virgin of Carmen and the International Festival of Habaneras and Poliphonic singing.
Election of the queen of the salt, Habaneras songs on the beach. International Contest of Habaneras songs and choirs, continued sometimes into August. Virgin del Carmen.

AUGUST: Festivals of San Emigdio and de Barrios in honour of tourists.

SEPTEMBER: Festival of Vendimia in La Mata.

OCTOBER: El Pilar festival.

NOVEMBER: All Saints and Halloween. Festival of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music.

DECEMBER: Festival of the patron saint of Torrevieja and Christmas. The Immaculate Conception.
